The XW GT Phase II launched in 1969 with the 351W and was instantly track ready. The ‘HO’ options followed soon after which made it a formidable street racer with a whopping 225KW. Alan Moffat took the chequered flag in one in 1970 at Bathurst.
The XW featured on this design is a matching numbers car in ‘Brambles’ Red and is in sublime condition.
The XY GTHO Phase III is referred to as The ‘Unicorn’ as it is the only one to come out of the factory in ‘Bold Blue’. With its matching numbers and an original 48000 miles, it is one of the rarest HO’s in the country.
In 1971 Allan Moffat was again behind the wheel of a XY GTHO Phase III as it won Bathurst and gained legendary status in motorsport.
Both HO’s were detailed by Benzenes Detailing for the GT Nationals.
